The Head of the METRO HoReCa Centre of METRO Cash & Carry Serbia, master chef Uros Urosevic, is the first Serbian to have been admitted to the world?s most prestigious culinary association: the World Master Chefs Society in London. In his home country Uros Urosevic is respected for his efforts to develop the regional cuisine and promote it abroad.

In touch with master chefs

The World Master Chefs Society is the leading association of top-class chefs. It promotes the science, art and creativity of fine cuisine and offers educational programmes for professional chefs. As a member of the World Master Chefs Society, Uros Urosevic will be in constant touch with master chefs abroad and invite them to the Serbian HoReCa Centre of METRO Cash & Carry.

The aim is to establish a close cooperation and an intensive exchange of experience between local and international chefs. ?A special privilege for us is that we will continue to work with the most recognised experts in the field of gastronomy. My key task will be to pass on their knowledge as their counterpart in Serbia, and in particular share their best practices in the field of gastronomy through trainings at the METRO HoReCa Centre?, explains Uros Urosevic on the occasion of receiving the honour.

Centre for education and promotion of hospitality

The Hotels-Restaurants-Caterer-Centre of METRO Cash & Carry Serbia is a centre for education and the promotion of hospitality. Master chefs like Uros Urosevic offer seminars, trainings and workshops that are specifically tailored to the needs of the HoReCa sector. It was opened in Belgrade in spring 2012.
