Players spread out to create a circle or a Clock in this soccer drills warm up. We number the players 1 through 12 just like a clock. With a cone in the middle of the clock, the coach calls out two numbers and those players have to swap places in the circle. The goal is for the second player called to beat the first. For example if you call out 1 and 10 those are the players that are now racing. We can change things up by making the players touch the cone in the center then run back to their starting position also. To work on endurance you can have your players run around the outside of the circle also to get back to their starting spot. This drill works on always being ready and acceleration. When you have the players touch the cone and return to their spots, you also work on changing directions quickly also.
