Medicaid
There are some options for home health that can be paid by Medicaid. For people with limited resources or income, Medicaid, a state and federal program can pay for most medical expenses. Personal Resources
About half of people in home care to pay their expenses with their own savings. There are certain cases where families spend in order to qualify for Medicaid.

Managed Care Plans
Unless the nursing home has a contract with the plan, a managed care plan does not help pay the cost. The same applies to home health care.

Medicare Supplemental Insurance
This insurance is private and is also known as Medigap because it helps pay for the gaps in Medicare coverage. It helps to pay the difference as co-insurance and deductibles. Most Medigap plans help pay for skilled nursing care, but this only happens when the care is covered by Medicare. A lot of people who use the employer?s group insurance care insurance or long term to finance the cost of a nursing home.
